Matsuyama Castle

One of the three large-scale multiple-wing castles in Japan built on a hill in the center of plain, the other two being Himeji Castle and Wakayama Castle. Construction was staarted by samurai warrior Yoshiakira Kato in1602 and took 25years to provides a superb view of the city.

Ishite temple

The 51st of the Shikoku Pilgrimage Temples. Within the temple grounds are many structures
designated as national treasures and important cultural properties such as the main hall,
Niomon Gate(Deva King Gate), the three-storeyed pagoda, and bell tower.

Shiki Memorial Museum

The museum displays a large number of the works of Shiki Masaoka, the father of modern haiku poetry who was born in Matsuyama. It presents a diverse array of handwritten manuscrips, books, correspondence, sketches, etc.
